Technology

THE TESTING ARSENAL

Every Onyx athlete starts with a complete battery of performance tests. The data shapes the program. The program drives the results.

KNOW
YOUR
NUMBERS.
RFD / Impulse / Asymmetry

Force Plates

Bilateral and unilateral force-time analysis. Identifies power deficits, asymmetries, and reactive strength capacity.

Velocity / Power / Load Profile

VBT System

Real-time bar speed tracking and load-velocity profiling. Train the right zone every session.

Split Times / Ground Contact

Sprint Timing

Laser-precise timing gates from 10m to 40m. Acceleration mechanics, max velocity, and deceleration assessment.

VO2 max / Lactate Threshold

Metabolic Testing

Full aerobic capacity profile. Energy system diagnostics that inform conditioning and recovery protocols.

Composition / Lean Mass

Anthropometrics

Body composition, limb lengths, and structural profiling to contextualize strength and power outputs.

Quality / Capacity / Risk

Movement Screen

Systematic movement quality assessment to identify compensations, mobility deficits, and injury risk factors.

How It Works

The Process

How It Works
01

Test

Complete battery of performance assessments. Force plate, VBT, sprint analysis, and metabolic. No assumptions.

02

Analyze

Data interpreted in context. Benchmarks compared against sport, position, age, and athletic history. Gaps identified.

03

Program

Individualized training plan built from your results. Every exercise, intensity, volume, and sequence is intentional.

04

Train

Coached execution in a structured environment. Technique, cues, and real-time feedback on every rep.

05

Retest

Scheduled re-assessment every 4–6 weeks. Progress measured against baseline. Program updated based on new data.

The Onyx Performance OS

One System
Runs It All.

Most gyms hand you a coach and a clipboard. At Onyx, your training runs on software that records every session and test, adjusts your program from your own numbers, and keeps your reports in one place. It is called Onyx Performance OS, and it comes with your membership.

Your Program, Live
Your workout is loaded before you arrive. You record each set as you lift instead of writing it down afterward.
Readiness Check-Ins
You rate your sleep, soreness, and energy before you start. When your readiness is low, the plan drops the load for that day.
Nutrition Targets
Your calorie and protein targets come from your own testing rather than a generic calculator, and you log your meals in the app.
PRs + Progress
Your main lifts, jumps, and sprints are tracked over time. When you hit a personal record, the app logs it for you.
Force Plate Trends
We track your jump height, force output, and left-to-right balance at every retest. A drop usually shows up here before it becomes an injury.
Client Reports
After each retest you get a report with your numbers and what the next block should work on. Every past report stays in the app.
