100% of the
Coach's Focus.
100% of the Time.
Private training at Onyx is the highest-touch service we offer. Each session is built entirely around you: your schedule, your capacity that day, your goals.
Every rep is observed, every set is adjusted, and each session is logged to refine the next one.
How a Session Runs.
Private personal training at Onyx runs on the same assessment and programming system as every other format in the lab. The difference is density. One coach's full attention is applied to one athlete for the entire hour.
Assessment First
Your first session includes a performance assessment. The data from that assessment determines the program. Exercise selection, loading, and progression rates come from your measured baseline, not from a template. The program is rebuilt as your numbers change.
60 Coached Minutes
Every session is 60 minutes with your coach and no one else. The session follows your program for that day and is adjusted to how you present when you walk in. If your readiness is down, the load changes before the first working set.
Every Rep Observed
Your coach watches every rep. Technique corrections happen in the moment. Loads move up or down between sets based on bar speed and movement quality. Each session is logged, and the log feeds the next program update.
Who 1-on-1
Training Suits.
1-on-1 is the right format when the session has to fit around you. These are the four situations where we recommend it.
The Packed Schedule
People whose calendars do not fit fixed session times. Private training is scheduled around you. You choose the time and train on your own calendar instead of around a class schedule.
The Post-Injury Return
Athletes and adults returning from injury once a licensed medical provider has cleared them to train. Progression is conservative and measured. Technique is rebuilt before load is added, and every session is logged so the return is documented.
The Executive
High-performing professionals who want the assessment-based, individualized approach applied to their own training. The hour is efficient, and no session time is spent waiting on equipment or a group.
The Athlete Who Needs Privacy
Professional or high-level amateur athletes who need training built entirely around their competition calendar, performance data, and recovery demands, and who need those sessions fully private.
Private,
Semi-Private,
or Membership.
Onyx runs three individualized formats, and all of them start with the same assessment. The difference between them is coaching density and structure. Private training carries the highest coaching density in the lab: one coach, one athlete, full control over scheduling.
Book private training if you need full privacy, scheduling control, or a supervised return from injury. The other two formats, and which one fits a different situation, are below.
2 Athletes.
1 Coach.
Same session structure and individualized programming as private training, with a second athlete in the room. The coach gives verbal cues, manual corrections, and load adjustments on every set. The right format for training partners, or anyone who wants higher coaching density in a shared setting.
